It irks me that the background is in a still state whereas everything else moves down, making it look like the trees and the zombies are falling from a high place, given that the it's in a top down perspective i think it's better if at least the road isn't the same in every instance. And sometimes the music will be randomly get cut off after you get the ability to shoot, maybe it's just on my side though. Other than that I don't think it's a bad game overall but it just needs a little tweaking for it to be better.

The jump is very spazztic for me and enemies just appear out of nowhere on the deer leaving him very vulnerable to damage. I was having the same kind of issues to a few games I tried reviewing so maybe its just on my side. But in case it's not, I hope you can improve upon it in the future.

You filthy autist it's a moose

Overall, it's a very basic game although it has apparent flaws but it still works, for the most part. There are issues when the enemies get stuck on the lower border of the screen and doesn't disappear so they pile up like crazy. Through out the time I spent playing the game none of the enemies cause any sort of damage, meaning there are no collision effect occuring between me and the enemies. The controls are fine though, the movement of the plane though ,is a bit stiff like its just dragging something heavy across the screen. Improve on that and you have a still get quite a half decent game.

Magicalpony444 responds:

Well. The enemies will do damage.

A player expects at least some form of legible instructions when he runs a game. Although, given that you've written some information of what to do and what to press within the game itself. You are still thrown into a mess of bad coding and a horrible representation of what you would normally expect in this sort of games. The sound/background music choice is ear-rippingly awful that one wouldn't stand to listen to it after hearing the first part. I'm sorry if this review may seem like im attacking your work but it is all evidence is apparent that this is not a good game and I hope you don't take this harshly and I would like to see you improve yourself and get a better understanding of what you want to do for your future works.

I don't like random cut out jpegs attacking me to be honest and although the gibberish death wails was funny the first few times, it grew tiresome to listen to after a while.

There's weird physics on this game. Right off the bat I noticed that the objects, the ball , the bars and the platform, doesn't really have any physical contact with each other making it look like you did a sloppy job on coding it. I don't know how collision works but it sorta weirded me out when I noticed that. Although the momentum of the ball feels somewhat right it feels rather floaty to play normally. I know it's not simple or easy to make a game but this is just an honest review to make you improve on your work. I hope you're not offended. If you are, then I'm sorry.

This is the first time I ever played a text-based game. And I must say it's quite interesting, And I think by playing this game I might look into this genre more.

CaptainJackTHAC0 responds:

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that :D I love text adventures. I've got 3 more games like this on my NG page if you're ever in the mood for more adventuring. Stay badass!

Love the music. Love the game. Hope you go far with it. Great job dude/duddette.

I noticed that the character you play as have no collision on the wall behind the boss and when you walk up towards the boss or in his general area the character is awkwardly lined up in front looking like he's walking in a different plane. Also , I experienced a bug/or maybe an error in coding where the character continually takes damage even after his hp reached zero, it happened when the boss brought out the tornado thingies and i was on top?/in front of the boss attacking him. And when my hp reached zero, the character fell down to the ground and continues falling till he reached the bottom of the screen still taking damage even when his attack stayed at where I was killed. It was weird but I hope you fix that to make this more playable and avoid other people experience it. Good luck on your future projects and I hope you continue to improve your stuff. Sorry if I was being rude or anything, just trying to help.

I love you.
